As I Lay Dying / Of Mice & Men Concert at the House of Blues 12/6 Review

Well to begin with, there was so much talent on one stage this night, including Sylosis, iwrestledabearonce, The Ghost Inside, Of Mice & Men, and of course As I Lay Dying. I could write so many different things about all of the bands that night, but I fear that you would get tired of reading and stop. So, I will keep the focus on Of Mice & Men and As I Lay Dying.
Of Mice & Men:
From the moment church bells started tolling and the stage was dimmed red with the occasional strobe-light accent introduction all the way until the final Wall of Death collision as soon the sample from Waka’s “hard in da paint” dropped, Of Mice & Men kept your interest. There were countless breakdown’s, chants, and of course thanks to the fans. This particular “Thank You’ happened to be somewhat different, however. Singer, Jerry Roush, admitted that this was their first House of Blues performance, and not only was is great to be performing in such an incredible venue, but it happened to be where he saw his first ever concert as a kid!
Now, on to As I Lay Dying:
As I Lay Dying always puts on a great show, and this was nothing less! The additional 8 ft. stage in the middle for drummer Jordan Mancino and the high level of production kept the show entertaining from start to finish. Plus, there was an added bonus due to this being their 10th year together as a band:
Singer Tim Lambesis brought his personal friend and touring partner to assist with vocal for their classic song “Forever.” Enjoy!
