After getting back to my hotel room a few beers deep I browsed through twitter and kept seeing Whitney Houston youtube videos popping up in my timeline.

After watching the rare gem below, along with a few others I got inspired.


She seriously was a once in 10 lifetimes talent. Her voice was unparalleled and there will never be anybody like her. Her passing is so sad not in so much that she died so young, but that she had endless potential and let it go to waste.

One of my favorite quotes of all time comes from the movie “A Bronx Tale” and goes: “The saddest thing in life is wasted talent.” That saying couldn’t ring more true than with Whitney Houston.

I didn’t want to be cliche and make one of these originally. But watching her old videos made me get my ass out of bed and set my stuff up and knock out this tribute mix. Come 5:30 am it was done and I was happy with how it came out. I hope you like it!
